Sumartin

Founded in 17th century by settlers from the mainland, Sumartin is the easternmost and the newest place on the island. Visitors love it for its peace and quiet, secluded beaches and the quaintness of a genuine fishing village.

The people of Sumartin are very proud of their fishing and boatbuilding heritage. The most prominent representative of that tradition is Mario Puratić with his oinvention named „Power block“ that revolutionized international fishing industry.
