Novo selo
Novo Selo is a small peaceful village on the hill between Selca and Povlja. It is surrounded by olive groves, stone quarries and beautiful nature. Its name literally means „New Village“ even though it was founded in the 16th century.
If you are visitig Novo Selo during olive picking season try out in harvesting with locals. There is a unique olives variety – buhavica, rare, but very fertile variety resistant to disease and draoght.
At you way to Novo Selo, By the roadside, you will notice open air exhibition of stone sculptures. The artist behind these wonderful work is a self-taught native of Novo Selo.
